Friday of the Passion of the Lord (Good Friday)
(John 19:15) The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar.”
Weren’t they thinking clearly? They chose an unscrupulous human leader to be their King before God, who they were called to love with all their heart, mind, soul and strength. With all our strength may we be careful to keep God as King of our hearts, minds and souls.
