(Matthew 16:27) Jesus said, “For the Son of Man will come with his angels in his Father’s glory, and then he will repay everyone according to his conduct.”
Best to not see in this promise of Jesus motivation to live one’s life under a fear of punishment, but to see instead encouragement to live life with wholesome joy because of the reward that will be received.
