Father Jim Radloff

Up at 4:30 am each day for prayer, Father Jim soon discovered that others were also seeking to start their day with a short inspirational quote from the Bible. So taking advantage of Social Media, he began sharing with others the fruits of his early morning prayer amongst Sacred Scriptures. Using Lectio Divina with the daily readings from the Catholic Mass, Father Jim was now presenting a reflection that could help people throughout their day. We are happy to share these thoughts with you.

Thursday after Ash Wednesday

(Luke 9:25) Jesus asked, “What profit is there for one to gain the whole world yet lose or forfeit oneself?”

What God has created us to be is not what the world is manipulating us to be . . . out of control consumers raising another’s profits so that they can own bigger homes. Stop the madness! May this Lent be a time to give up the stuff to find the self.
