(1 John 4:18) “There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment, and so one who fears is not yet perfect in love.”
There is something wrong with people or institutions who use threats of punishment to cause fear in others. May we so grow in our love that the fear they cause will be driven out, so that they and their threats will have no more power over us!
