(Sirach 48:10) “You were destined, it is written, in time to come to put an end to wrath before the day of the LORD.” The problem can be that this was written about Elijah so some concluded that it was going to be his job to fix everything, not theirs. A “that’s not my job” type of mentality leaves undone the important work of ending wrath right now. Bringing peace into this world is all our jobs.
