Father Jim Radloff

Up at 4:30 am each day for prayer, Father Jim soon discovered that others were also seeking to start their day with a short inspirational quote from the Bible. So taking advantage of Social Media, he began sharing with others the fruits of his early morning prayer amongst Sacred Scriptures. Using Lectio Divina with the daily readings from the Catholic Mass, Father Jim was now presenting a reflection that could help people throughout their day. We are happy to share these thoughts with you.

TWENTY-SECOND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
(Sirach 3:18) “Humble yourself the more, the greater you are, and you will find favor with God.”

Humility is not depreciating our giftedness so that we become bland and insipid. To be humble is to acknowledge that all our gifts come from God, are to be used in service of God’s Kingdom, and are to bring glory to God.
