Father Jim Radloff

Up at 4:30 am each day for prayer, Father Jim soon discovered that others were also seeking to start their day with a short inspirational quote from the Bible. So taking advantage of Social Media, he began sharing with others the fruits of his early morning prayer amongst Sacred Scriptures. Using Lectio Divina with the daily readings from the Catholic Mass, Father Jim was now presenting a reflection that could help people throughout their day. We are happy to share these thoughts with you.

TWENTY-THIRD SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
(Philemon 9:14) “I did not want to do anything without your consent, so that the good you do might not be forced but voluntary.”

There is a big difference between being obligated to do something and freely choosing to do something. The first comes from the outside while the other comes from within. Doing good needs to come from the heart.
