Father Jim Radloff

Up at 4:30 am each day for prayer, Father Jim soon discovered that others were also seeking to start their day with a short inspirational quote from the Bible. So taking advantage of Social Media, he began sharing with others the fruits of his early morning prayer amongst Sacred Scriptures. Using Lectio Divina with the daily readings from the Catholic Mass, Father Jim was now presenting a reflection that could help people throughout their day. We are happy to share these thoughts with you.

Friday
(Revelation 10:10) “I took the small scroll from the angel’s hand and swallowed it. In my mouth it was like sweet honey, but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned sour.” Faith sweetens those times of bitterness in our lives and gives us a sour stomach when we have swallowed what is bad, letting us know that what we are doing or failing to do is wrong. So it is good that our faith is bittersweet.
