(Acts 14:15) The apostles Barnabas and Paul shouted “Men, why are you doing this? We are of the same nature as you, human beings.”
When the people saw the wonders God was doing through Barnabas and Paul they mistook them for gods. But instead of bringing glory to themselves and playing the part of gods they brought glory to where all glory is due, to the Lord.
